The Kansas City Royals scored five unanswered runs in the seventh, eighth, and ninth to beat the San Francisco Giants 6-5.

Kansas City was down 4-0 after five innings, but the Royals offense got going in the sixth with Bobby Witt Jr.’s second home run of the season. Salvador Perez hit a game-tying three-run home run in the eighth. Nate Eaton scored the winning run in the ninth on a wild pitch. Aroldis Chapman closed out the bottom of the ninth to earn his first save of the season.

Royals starter Brady Singer went six innings, giving up eight hits and five runs. Sean Manaea went six innings of one-run ball for the Giants.

Kansas City has taken the first two in the series.
