
The Marshall Fire Department was called to a house fire at 360 East Eastwood Street at approximately 10 p.m. on Friday April 14.
Upon arrival, a room in the rear of the house had flames coming from the windows. Firefighters knocked down flames from outside. A crew entered the house knocking down flames as they progressed to the room of origin.
Owners of the residence arrived on the scene and stated to firefighters that no one should have been living there but the room looked as though it had recently been lived in. No one was reported to have been at the residence.
Losses are estimated to be $70,000 for the house and $2,000 for the contents.
