The New Franklin Board of Education approved an increase in the base salary for staff during its most recent meeting.

The base salary is increasing to $32,500, with the same percentage also given to non-certified staff and stipends.

In other news, the board will hold a meeting on Tuesday, April 18 in order to comply with election laws. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. The board will accept and certify election results at this meeting.
