The Marshall Community Chorus is holding its spring concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday April 23 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Marshall.
The theme of the concert is titled “Come to My Garden!” and will feature a number of choral works that revolve around gardens and springtime.
The forty-voice voice volunteer choir, under the direction of Ron Sayer and accompanied by Haruka Morinaga, will present a number of selections, both familiar and new, that the audience is guaranteed to enjoy.
After a number of months of cold, wet, snowy weather, it’s time to sing about flowers, birds, the joy of being outdoors, and everything associated with spring. The earth comes alive again and we come alive as well as we watch the garden grow.
According to director Ron Sayer, “a garden is both a magical and a musical place and we plan on exploring those facets of its beauty through our music”.
The concert is free and open to the public and is appropriate for audiences of all ages.
Covenant Presbyterian Church is located on the corner of Yerby St. and Lincoln Ave. in Marshall.
