10:00 Thursday, April 20 Update:  Authorities have apprehended the suspect.

Deputies from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol are searching for a male suspect relating to a homicide.

According to Saline County Sheriff Cindi Mullins, the authorities are searching for the suspect in a homicide in the Oak Grove area. Mullins said the suspect’s vehicle was being pursued, before the suspect began fleeing on foot.

The suspect is reportedly a male wearing a white shirt. Air support and drones are being used in the search.

Citizens in the area are advised to lock their vehicles and report anything suspicious to authorities by calling 911.
