Brian Theis, 58, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Marshall, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at his home.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall with Fr. Francis Doyle officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic School. Born April 7, 1965, in St. Cloud, MN, he was the son of Charles Peter “Chuck” Theis and Mary Ley Theis, who survive of Marshall.  Brian attended St. Peter Catholic School and then graduated from Marshall High School in 1983.  Following graduation Brian earned two bachelor degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia and later earned a Master of Business Administration.  Brian lived most of his adult life in the Kansas City area where he worked for Sprint for over 20 years and then at various other businesses through the years.  He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Marshall.  Brian was a member of A.A. and N.A. where he developed many great friendships and a good support system along with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Chuck and Mary; he is survived by three siblings: Diane Weinreich (John) of rural Marshall, Peter Theis (Brienne) of Shawnee Mission, KS and Jeana Pointer (Cortney) of Marshall; four nephews: Korey Weinreich, Luke Weinreich, Henry Pointer and Gus Pointer; two nieces, Lily Theis and Josie Theis; two great-nieces, Karaline and Kora Weinreich; as well as many aunts and uncles; numerous cousins; and many great friends.
