A Sedalia woman was moderately injured in a one-vehicle accident in Cooper County on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when 35-year-old Angela Marquez fell asleep and her vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway. Marquez overcorrected and traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a guardrail.

Marquez was transported to University Hospital in Columbia with moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 4:50 p.m. on Interstate 70 at mile marker 94.4 in Cooper County.
