The Sedalia City Council approved a purchase for the Street Department during its meeting on Monday, April 17.

The council approved the purchase of a steel wheel roller in the amount of $184,500. Shaw said the equipment will help the Street Department complete more street work in-house.

In other news, Ward 4 councilwoman Rhiannon Foster was chosen as Mayor Pro Tem.

Also, the council heard a presentation about the upcoming Ukrainian Festival event in Sedalia. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 2023.
