A freeze watch will be in effect in the area until 9 a.m. Sunday, April 23.

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 degrees are possible from late Saturday night through Sunday morning. Portions of northeast Kansas and central, north central and west central Missouri will be affected.

Impacts include frost and freeze conditions affecting crops, other sensitive vegetation and unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Impacted counties include Carroll, Chariton, Lafayette, Saline, Howard, Johnson, Pettis and Cooper in the KMMO listening area.
