A Kingsville man has been charged with multiple felonies in Johnson County.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a narcotic-related search warrant for the residence of Jason Mathis.

During a search of the residence, authorities located numerous clear plastic bags holding a crystal substance, which was confirmed to be methamphetamine. The weight exceeded 1,500 grams.

Authorities also located several handguns in the residence.

Court documents say Mathis is charged with felonies for trafficking drugs in the second degree and unlawful possession of a firearm. Bond is set at $75,000 cash only with conditions.

Mathis was arraigned on April 26, 2023. No other court date has been set at this time.
