Cody Homfeld of Lexington, Missouri, won the Missouri FFA Agricultural Mechanics Repair and Maintenance Placement Proficiency Award at the 95th Missouri FFA Convention.

Homfeld, a 2022 graduate of Lexington High School, is a member of the Lexington FFA Chapter. His FFA advisor is Courtney Chaney.

Homfeld’s supervised agricultural experience consisted of working at a welding fabrication shop. His responsibilities include maintenance on rented machinery and completing customer projects. With customer projects Homfeld creates blueprints and quotes, then completes the project to the customers satisfaction.

As an FFA member, Homfeld attended National and State FFA Conventions. He was a Missouri State Fair exhibitor. Homfeld also attended many other FFA events.

In addition to FFA, Homfeld was a member of the Mid Missouri Tractor Club, SkillsUSA, National Technical Honor Society, and the Lexington FFA Booster Club.

Homfeld is a recent graduate of the industrial welding course through the Lex La-Ray Technical Center and currently works in the welding industry.
