The Odessa Board of Aldermen approved a bill vacating an alley for future development during its meeting on Monday, April 17, 2023.

The property is located at the 1912 Junior High School building.

City Administrator Shawna Davis stated the building is proposed for senior housing.

Davis also stated vacating the alley, which was on the original plat in Odessa would allow for survey work on the property and to parcel out the north end of the property for a future public safety center and city storm shelter.
