A burn ban has been issued within the city limits of Knob Noster until further notice.

Due to weather conditions and low humidity, there will be no open burning allowed. This includes burn pits and trash fires.

The main reason the Knob Noster Fire Department issued the burn ban is because the forecast is for high winds and less than low humidity that will last through this coming weekend.

The Knob Noster Fire Department is urging caution when discarding smoking materials as well.
