Pettis County authorities are asking for help from the public for information on a hit and run accident that occurred on April 30.

According to Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders, Pettis County Joint Communications received a report of a Car versus Bicycle leaving the scene of a crash at McVey and Goodwill Chapel Road.

Witnesses on scene advised after the crash a late model black hatchback fled the scene south on Goodwill Chapel Road. Residents in the area advised the hatchback frequents the area. The bicyclist suffered serious injuries but has since been released from the hospital.

According to video footage of the suspect vehicle in the area, the crash occurred around 2:48 p.m.

Those with information can contact authorities by calling 911 or the TIPS line (660-827-TIPS) if you would like to remain anonymous.

Any additional eye witnesses or video footage that exists in the area in determining a make and model of the suspect vehicle would be appreciated. This photo is the best one that is available at this time.
