A Hughesville woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Lafayette County on Thursday, May 4.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Helen Izoita traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, and returned to the roadway. Izoita’s vehicle then traveled across the roadway into the path of vehicle driven by 56-year-old Robert Wright. The collision totaled both vehicles.

Izoita was transported by Higginsville EMS to Centerpoint Medical Center with moderate injuries. Wright was also transported to Centerpoint Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The crash occurred at 12:30 p.m. on westbound I-70 in Lafayette County.
