The Oakland Athletics scored five unanswered runs to help them win back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Kansas City jumped out to a 1-0 lead thanks to an RBI double from Maikel Garcia. Oakland then responded with five unanswered runs off of Brady Singer in the second, third, and fourth, giving the Athletics a lead they would not relinquish.

Kansas City rallied for three runs in the fourth, but the comeback fell short and the Royals lost 5-4.

Singer took the loss, going 4 innings, giving up 6 hits, 3 walk, and 5 runs. Ken Waldichuk picked up the win, going 5 innings, while allowing 4 runs on 6 hits and 6 walks.
