The Marshall Board of Education discussed raises and benefit increases for staff during its meeting on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

Superintendent Caleb Petet presented the proposed increases to the board of two percent to staff for salaries and five percent for benefits packages.

The board approved the increases for the upcoming year.

In other news from the meeting, the board approved a declaration of critical shortage of certified staff which allows special hiring allowances to fill the positions.
