The city of Sedalia has lifted its burn ban due to the recent rain in the area.

The city issued the burn ban on May 2. Any burning of brush piles still requires a burn permit. Recreational fire pits will also be authorized to be used.

The Sedalia Fire Department would like to urge the community to use caution when burning and to never leave a fire unattended.
