The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved appointments for several committees, boards, and commissions during its meeting on Monday, May 15, 2023.

The appointments were submitted to the board for approval. They include:

-Steve Vetter to the Arts Advisory Board,
-Chief of Police Tom Long and EMS Director Doug Kenney to the Board of Health,
-Tom Long, Doug Kenney, Fire Chief Randy Amor, and Building Official Sandra Stephens to the Board of Public Safety,
-Keith Bredehoeft and MacKenzie Rinne to the Enhanced Enterprise Zone,
-Colby Long to the Higginsville Housing Authority,
-Stephanie Cahill, Julie Opfer, and Ray Sutherland to the Library Board,
-Valerie Frerking, Adam Reid, and Rachel Webb to the Park Board,
-Jennifer Jellum and Mark Nolte to the Planning Commission,
-Jamie Iles and Kevin Thurmon to the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Commission
-Aren Koenig, Barb Nolte, Misty Runyan, and Cameron Lee to the Youth Activities Commission, and
-Kent Emison and Harold Hoflander to Higginsville Community Betterment.
