The Saline County Career Center Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter Officer Team presented as guest speakers to the Malta Bend American Legion Post 558 on Monday, May 15. The 2022 – 2023 officer team consists of President Holly Huston, Vice President Lauren Chaney-King, Secretary Kristine Morales and Treasurer Lupita Morales.

The Officer Team presented the year in review. The chapter stays very active throughout the year and was recently recognized by Missouri FBLA as a Gold Chapter of the Year which denotes it as one of the top Missouri FBLA chapters. Highlights of the year included: August- membership drive BBQ, September- float entry in the Homecoming Parade, October- hosting a Trunk or Treat booth to distribute coloring books, November- receiving a grant and holding a canned food drive for the Little Food Pantries of Marshall, December- raising funds during a gift wrapping event for the Saline County Holiday Project, January- competing in District Contest, February- hosting FBLA Week which included holding business tours in Sedalia, March- holding a chapter Spring Social, April- qualifying students attended the State Leadership Conference where a student also qualified to the National Leadership Conference. May- end of the year meeting will be held.
