The Marshall Police Department is reporting that at approximately 12:00 p.m. on May 17, 2023 Saline County 911 received an emergency phone call regarding an unresponsive and not breathing 19-year-old male. Marshall Police, Marshall Fire, and Saline County Ambulance were dispatched to investigate.

According to Saline County Coroner Willie Harlow, the 19-year-old was identified as Axavier Reed.

Upon the arrival of first responders, the man was unresponsive, not breathing, with no visible signs of injuries, and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
