
Dwight Thomas Blumhorst, 60 of Jefferson City, MO, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Visitation will be held from noon to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Born December 3, 1962, in Marshall, MO, he was the son of the late Arthur LeRoy Blumhorst and Louise Tegtmeyer Blumhorst. He attended schools in Marshall and graduated from Hamilton College in Des Moines, IA. He was supervisor of Des Moines Public Housing Authority then returned to Missouri in 2007 where he retired from the State of Missouri Facilities Management, Design and Construction (FMDC). He enjoyed motorcycle riding, fishing and camping. Dwight was proud to be an organ donor.
Survivors include his son, Dwight Thomas Blumhorst II of Columbia, MO; one granddaughter, Aura Blumhorst of Deltona, FL: one grandson, Dominic Knauer of Nuremberg, Germany; one sister, Debra Collins of Holts Summit, MO; one brother, Douglas Blumhorst of Marshall; one niece, Angela Blumhorst of Marshall; and other family and friends.
