A Blackwater man has died from injuries sustained in an accident at Central Missouri Speedway in Johnson County on April 29, 2023.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Andrew Zeller failed to negotiate a curve on the racetrack, traveling off an embankment and becoming airborne. The vehicle overturned several times striking several trees.

Zeller was pronounced deceased at the University of Kansas Hospital on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.
