A Boonville man has been charged for harassment after an incident in February.

According to the Cooper County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy took a walk-in complaint regarding an incident that took place on February 21, 2023. The complaint was received on February 22.

The woman told authorities that Christopher Neal Stallings obtained her phone number and sent 28 messages regarding an unrelated incident. Stallings also confronted the woman by blocking her in her driveway while she was trying to back out.

Stallings was charged with a felony for harassment in the first degree. However, Stallings failed to appear at his arraignment on May 22. A warrant for failure to appear has been issued, with bond set at $50,000 cash or surety.

A bond forfeiture hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, June 12 at Cooper County Circuit Court.
