Emily Marie Pogue, 84, of Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Legendary Nursing and Rehab in Marshall.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Todd Pogue officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Born April 29, 1939, in Edwardsville, IL, she was the daughter of the late William H. Hessel and Norma Steehlinger Hessel. On September 28, 1957, she married Franklin D. Pogue who preceded her in death on August 23, 2009. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marshall.

Survivors include one daughter, Toni (Roger) Bryson; one son, Todd (Cindy) Pogue; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Pat (Rich) Pierce; three sisters-in-law, Karen Hessel, Carol Hessel and Yeula (Larry) Hawn; two brothers-in-law, Anthony (Joan) Pogue and Michael (Julie) Pogue; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Emily was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Lawson; a grandson, David Daniel Lawson; and two brothers, William Hessel and Danny Hessel.
