Two area residents were injured in a Pettis County accident on Tuesday, May 23.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 33-year-old John Fizer, failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the left side of the roadway and impacted a ditch. The vehicle spun around in the roadway and overturned, ejecting both of its passengers. The vehicle’s passengers, 34-year-old Brooke Adams of Sedalia, and 53-year-old Larry Craig of Cole Camp, were reportedly not wearing seat belts.

Adams and Craig were transported by the Pettis County Ambulance District to University Hospital in Columbia.

The accident occurred at 1:35 p.m. on Route M at Echo Road in Pettis County.
