The Glasgow Board of Aldermen approved an ordinance barring marijuana smoking in downtown Glasgow during its meeting on Monday, May 15, 2023.

The board set a two block radius around First Street and Market Street for the ordinance. Anyone caught smoking in the assigned area would be subject to a civil fine.

In other news from the meeting, City Administrator Andrew Frazier gave the board ARPA funds reports that were sent to the Department of Treaury. The board was informed that $40,600 of funds will need to be obliged or allocated by 2024.
