The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office arrested two subjects after conducting a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle on May 23.

According to a probable cause statement, deputies patrolling in Sedalia initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was believed to be reported stolen out of Jefferson City. The occupants of the vehicle, Jordan Willis, of Jefferson City, and Jessica Collins, of Sedalia, were arrested after dispatch confirmed the vehicle. Deputies located a small clear baggie containing methamphetamine on the center console in plain view.

Court documents say Willis is charged a felony for tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree and possession of a controlled substance. Collins is charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance. Bond for Willis is set at $15,000, while bond for Collins is set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Willis was arraigned at 12 p.m. Thursday, May 25 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
