
A Boonville man was charged with a felony after an attempted traffic stop on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
According to a probable cause statement, a Cooper County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to initiate a stop on Christopher Stallings on Highway 87 having prior knowledge of active felony warrants. Stallings allegedly failed to stop and accelerated away at excessive speed. Stallings allegedly continued through a residential area in Windsor Place to his residence on Farris Circle where exited the vehicle and ran into the residence.
Stallings was later taken into custody for existing felony and misdemeanor warrants and was charged with a felony for resisting arrest for a felony.
Bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety.
Stallings had a hearing on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 and has a counsel status hearing scheduled for Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Cooper County Circuit Court.
