David F. Tennill, 82, of Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Golden Oaks Assisted Living in rural Marshall.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2023, at Gilliam Cemetery in Gilliam, MO, with William W. Harlow officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born May 30, 1941, in Gilliam, he was the son of the late John Richard Tennill and Minnie Edna Williams Tennill. He was a graduate of Slater High School. On October 4, 1965, he married Victoria E. Humm who preceded him in death on January 21, 2007. He retired from the Marshall Habilitation Center as a DAIII and returned to Marshall in 2008, moving from Frederickstown, MO. He enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing and going to the Casino.

Survivors include five children, Debra Sims of Marshall, Terry Taylor (Jim) of Slater, Suzanne Bellamy of Las Vegas, NV, Lora Sullivan (Boyd) of Slater and Tina Maicher (Philip) of Kansas City, MO; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, David was preceded in death by two sons, John Davis and Dwayne Tennill; and five siblings, Lonnie Edward Tennill, Richard Don (R.D.) Tennill, Raymond Tennill, John Tennill and Margaret Scharnhorst.
