
The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works accepted a bid for substation relay and breaking testing during its meeting on Thursday, July 1.
The West Substation was finished in 1995, with a total of nine mechanical relays and 16 SEL microprocessor relays that protect the substation equipment and feeders.
The board sent requests to eight companies and received a total of three bids. Bids were opened on May 23.
The board approved the recommendation to accept the $23,130 bid from Electrical Reliability Services for the West Substation Relay and Breaker testing.
The budget for the project is $30,000.
