A tractor trailer hauling approximately $60,000 worth of cage free, organic eggs overturned in the area of Highway HH and Cedar Lane in the middle of the construction zone on Thursday, June 1.

A Pettis County Sheriff deputy and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene. Nobody was injured during the incident.

Citizens from the community also came together to help remove the individual cartons of eggs from the overturned trailer.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:16 a.m.
