The city of Sedalia has issued a burn ban until further notice. The ban is going into effect due to lack of rain and dry conditions.

Due to drought and dry conditions forecasted, the city will be placed in a burn ban. No open burning, including recreational burn pits will be allowed within the city limits of Sedalia until further notice. The use of barbecue grills is still authorized as long as the grill has a lid to cover the fire while cooking.

Please use extreme caution when using a grill.
