A Warrensburg woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident in Johnson County on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when a pickup driven by 72-year-old Marvin Richey failed to yield and pulled into to the path of oncoming pickup driven by 29-year-old Kody Williams of Knob Noster. Williams’ pickup struck the passenger side of the vehicle and after impact Williams’ pickup traveled off the roadway and overturned.

69-year-old passenger Patricia Richey was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Centerpoint Medical Center with serious injuries. Williams was transported by private vehicle to St. Luke’s East Hospital with minor injuries.

The accident occurred at 9:15 a.m. on Highway 13 at 950th Road in Johnson County.
