The Sedalia Police Department arrested a female suspect after serving a drug-related search warrant on Wednesday, June 7.

According to the department, detectives from the Crime Resolution Unit, Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force, and deputies from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence to serve the search warrant. Authorities noticed a vehicle left the residence and stopped the vehicle in Sedalia.

A K-9 unit was deployed and positively alerted the presence of methamphetamine, which was located in the vehicle.

Authorities arrested 34-year-old Jessica Brown, and are seeking charges of trafficking drugs in the second degree and distribution of a controlled substance.
