The Kansas City Royals lost its fifth straight in a 6-1 loss to the Baltimore Orioles.

Baltimore struck first and never looked back, scoring two runs in the first and a run in the second. The Royals scored a run in the fifth with an RBI single from Freddy Fermin.

Brady Singer gave up four runs on six hits in less than five innings. He struck out four and walked three.

Cole Irvin went five and a third, giving up six hits and one run for Baltimore.

Kansas City has lost eight of nine and owns the second worst record in the majors at 18-46.
