The St. Louis Cardinals dug themselves into a 7-0 hole, and eventually fell to the Cincinnati Reds 8-4 on Saturday, June 10.

The Reds got to Miles Mikolas early, scoring five runs against the Cardinals starter. The Reds also scored two runs against Drew VerHagen and one run off of Genesis Cabrera.

The St. Louis offense got busy in the seventh, eighth, and ninth, but couldn’t overcome the early deficit. Nolan Arenado smashed his 13 homer of the season, and Dylan Carlson hit his third. Paul Goldschmidt also doubled in a run for St. Louis.
