Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Monday, June 12.

According to a report, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old juvenile pulled out across the northbound lanes of traffic and entered the path of another vehicle. A vehicle driven by 24-year-old Dallas Sheets struck the driver side of the first vehicle.

Sheets was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County EMS for treatment of serious injuries. Rachel Bowlin, a passenger in the vehicle driven by the juvenile, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center with serious injuries.

The crash occurred at 1:35 p.m. on Northbound Missouri 23 at Northeast 500th Road in Johnson County.
