Beginning on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 and continuing through Wednesday, June 28, 2023, the City of Sedalia’s Public Works Department will be milling and overlaying West Main Street from Industrial Road to Thompson Road. During the period lane closures will result in the roadway being reduced to a single lane of traffic and a reduced speed of 15 miles per hour. Travelers are encouraged to use alternate routes whenever possible to avoid delays.

Mill and overlay work will begin each day at 6:00 a.m. and continue through 5:00 p.m. until the project is complete. Congestion is expected due to the lane restrictions and the volume of traffic normally using this roadway. Heavy equipment and workers will be present in the roadway during this period. Lane closures and restrictions will be in effect during the mill and overlay operation. Inclement weather or equipment breakdowns could delay completion of the paving operation.
