The Carrollton Town Council approved an ordinance authorizing a Railroad Train Station Board during a special session on Monday, June 12.

According to City Administrative Assistant Kelsey Kaiser the board was approved and appointed at the meeting. Board members include Ned Barker, Randall Barry, Leah Eiserer, Rachel Harper and Tony Heil.

The board will pursue the feasibility of an Amtrak stop in Carrollton. Carrollton is receiving a no match grant for the project.
