The Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen accepted a bid for the removal of several trees during its meeting on Monday, June 12.

The two trees in question are located by the Boy Scout Cabin. The board accepted the bid from Chase’s Tree Removal in the amount of $3,050.

In other news, Police Chief Shane Gooden informed the board that his department was next on the list to receive at 2020 Ford Explorer with less than 60,000 miles for $29,700 from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Gooden also informed the board that he is asking the community to design a patch for the department.
