A California man was moderately injured in a motorcycle accident in Moniteau County on Tuesday, June 13.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when 61-year-old Denver Collins struck a deer on the roadway. The motorcycle overturned ejecting Collins.

Collins was transported by Mid-Mo EMS to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City with moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 12:44 p.m. on Highway 87 in Moniteau County.
