An Otterville man has been charged with several felonies for sexual contact with a minor.

According to the Otterville Police Department, an officer was dispatched to Otterville School in reference to an emergency hotline.

Police interviewed the 10-year-old female juvenile, who alleged that David Dean had been inappropriately touching and having sexual contact with her in May 2023.

Court documents say Dean is charged with several felonies relating to sexual contact with a minor. Bond was set at $500,000 cash or surety.

Dean was arraigned on June 13 and entered a plea of not guilty. A counsel status hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 20 at Cooper County Circuit Court.
