
A Holden man has been charged with a felony after an incident involving a possible fight and gunfire in January 2023.
According to probable cause statement, a Holden Police Officer was dispatched to a business located in Holden in the early morning hours of January 1. A witness to the incident stated a man was leaving in his vehicle and as he drove past the business Brenton Charriere allegedly fired one round at the man’s vehicle while standing on the sidewalk. A 9 millimeter shell casing was found on the sidewalk where Charriere had been standing. The vehicle tire was later found to be damaged and flat.
Charriere was located near the scene and stated he had observed a fight in the front of the business and denied having knowledge of the gunfire. After being informed there was a witness, Charriere refused to talk any further about the incident.
According to court documents, a warrant was issued Thursday, June 15 and Charriere has been charged with a felony for unlawful use of a weapon.
Bond has been set at $25,000 cash only.
No court date has been set.
