The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works provided updates to several of its upcoming and ongoing projects during its meeting on Friday, June 16..

The board started by approving a motion to purchase material to replace the lime feeder trough for the Water Treatment Facility. the current metal trough has deteriorated over the years and needs to be replaced. The budget for the materials is $18,000.

Grant Piper updated the board on the water main replacement on Clara Street from Benton Avenue to Grant Avenue. All of the main has been installed, disinfected and converted. His crew is making the last fire hydrant connection and will terminate the old main. Street repairs will be made in the future.

Also, relay and breaker testing for the West Substation is scheduled for the week of September 25.
