
The Missouri Department of Transportation has planned general highway maintenance and construction work in Cooper and Howard counties for the week of June 19-25.
In Cooper County:
-Route M from Route K to Imhoff Road – Pavement repair is planned June 20 – 21. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
-I-70 from mile marker 91 to mile marker 98 (Missouri Route 135) – Brush cutting is planned June 20. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
-Missouri Route 41 from Route 135 to the Saline County line – Brush cutting is planned June 21 – 22. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
-Route U – Bridge reconstruction continues. The road is currently closed at the Petite Saline Creek Bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2023.
-Route F – Bridge replacement continues. The road is currently closed at the Stephens Branch Bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2023.
-I-70 Bridge replacement continues. Woodland School Drive over I-70 is currently closed. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2023.
-I-70 Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
In Howard County:
-Route E from Missouri Route 87 to Route 5 – Pavement repair is planned June 20 – 22. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
-Routes A, H, W, and EE – Brush cutting is planned June 20 – 22. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Weather conditions may postpone the scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.
