Adam Wainwright picked up his 198th career win as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the New York Mets 5-3 on Saturday, June 17.

The Cardinals snapped a six-game losing streak with the win.

Wainwright had a quality start, pitching into the seventh inning while giving up three runs. Andre Pallante, Giovanny Gallegos, and Jordan Hicks combined for two and 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.

Kodai Senga gave up four runs for the Mets and took the loss.

Paul Goldschmidt hit his 12th homer of the year. Jordan Walker also went deep for St. Louis.
