A Sedalia man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident in Johnson County on Saturday, June 17.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Karl Cannon traveled off the roadway and struck a parked vehicle on the right shoulder. The parked vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and both vehicles came to rest.

Cannon was transported to Research Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the parked vehicle, 45-year-old Stephen Cozad of Centerview, suffered moderate injuries and 22 year-old passenger Logan Dunbar of Holden, suffered minor injuries. Both were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center.

The accident occurred at 6 p.m. on Highway 50 in Johnson County.
