A Sedalia woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident in Saline County on Saturday, June 17.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Magdalena Peraza traveled off the roadway striking an embankment and began overturning. The vehicle eventually came to rest on the roadway.

Peraza was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center with serious injuries.

The accident occurred at 8:53 a.m. on Highway 65 south of Jasmine Avenue in Saline County.
