The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved a lease agreement at Higginsville Industrial Municipal Airport during its meeting on Monday, June 19.

According to City Administrator Jeanette Dobson, the agreement is with Clint Grant who will be taking over rent at a hanger for an airplane repair business going by Star Aero, Inc.

The board also recognized Darla Buckley at the meeting for ten years of service at Higginsville EMS.

In other news, the board approved the annual renewal of liquor and amusement licenses and approved giving Dobson authority for fireworks sales permits.
